Welcome

to The Kingsway, a visionary neighbourhood first planned by Robert Home Smith in the early 1900s. Many of the homes in this idyllic setting provide an excellent architectural style of the era including stone exteriors, and half-timber designs on streets lined with majestic trees. Home Smith was truly successful in his plan to establish "a little bit of England far from England".

The Kingsway shopping district, an extension of the neighbourhood, offers an excellent mix of small specialty shops, fabulous restaurants, a sprinkling of pubs and professional and medical services. As you stroll along Bloor Street West from Prince Edward Drive in the east to Montgomery Road in the west, you will be pleasantly surprised by the ambiance created by unique centre medians, distinct Kingsway flags and banners, beautiful wrought iron park benches and coach lanterns as well as graceful flower gardens.
